Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: This is Bat Country!
It’s a brand new season, #Hindsighters, and that means big
changes! As
your attorneys, Darth and Jason advise you all to subscribe to (and beware
of) their podcast on Youtube,
featuring faces that only a radio could love.
If nothing else, feel free to check out our first filmed episode to witness Darth dressed as her aberrant idol, Johnny Depp.
What would prompt Darth to make a shrine of herself to Johnny Depp, you might ask? In the very first
installment of Season 2, your favorite podcasters discuss a true cult classic, Fear
and Loathing in Las Vegas. It’s a wacky ride of drug addled,
stream-of-conscience writing
that was adapted to film to frighten and fascinate the masses.
Darth and Jason wanted to kick off season 2 with stylized
eccentricity, and there’s literally no better way to accomplish that than to
discuss a movie featuring Captain Jack Sparrow’s adventure traversing the wild
and dangerous seas of a mescaline high with Dr.
Gonzo in the hotels of Las Vegas.
While FandL might just be the most “normal” of any byproduct of Hunter S. Thompson’s and Terry Gilliam’s, it takes enormous mental fortitude to endure this particular film. However, the argument could be made that Johnny’s perfect portrayal of Hunter S. Thompson displays their enviable level of friendship. Don’t get them wrong, Darth and Jason won’t be shooting each other’s remains out of a cannon, but they have planned each other’s headstones. #FriendshipGoals

Welcome one, welcome all to this discussion of a genuinely,
bizarrely unique movie. If you self-identity as a “whatever”,
you’ll feel right at home.
This episode has the absurdity, the nod to Gonzo
Journalism, and most importantly, it has more than one Adam! What else does
Hindsight have in store for you this year? Subscribe and find out!
